Love the meat and pita here! I personally prefer the lamb over the chicken, but both are good. The chicken with the El Greco sauce is very moist. I enjoy the flavor of the pork with tzatziki sauce more though. I recommend the pork gyros wrap and the pork souvlaki with fries instead of rice. I wasn't that big of a fan of their rice.
A few months ago I was on a business trip in Cupertino and El Greco draw my attention. A Greek restaurant right next to my office? I had to try. The TV was playing scenes recorded on a beautiful Greek island. It felt strangely nostalgic and familiar. No wonder... a few seconds later I realized that the clear blue water in the screen is next to the place I grew up. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Appetizer Sampler was a great choice. No doubt this is authentic Greek cuisine. I keep coming back regularly after that. My friends and my clients love it. Most of them started making plans to visit Greece next summer. Tonight I'm having chicken souvlaki. Hard to tell whether it's better than El Greco's bifteki. I suggest you tried both. If you have any questions about your dish Andreas and the rest of the team will tell you everything you need to know.
Excellent food. Very large portion size (might be able to split a single entree between 2 people). Helpful and friendly staff. I really like the calamari, bifteki, and paidakia. The pork souvlaki is also worth a try.
My new favorite Greek restaurant! Their tzatziki sauce is phenomenal, the tyrokafteri similarly great! The manager/owner is very present, helping out throughout the restaurant, making sure we don't need anything else. We got the pork gyro pita, a delicious seasoning of pork, french fries, the usual fixings of tomatoes, onions, and Tzatziki sauce. We also ordered the brizola, a pork steak which is absolutely phenomenal. The seasoning is perfect! Oh and might I add, on their pita bread when you get it, they season it with herbs and sea salt?!?
This place is an excellent addition to Cupertino! The food is prepared traditional Greek style, with traditional ingredients and flavorings. It reminded my wife and me of our honeymoon in Greece. For example, the Greek salad has a slab of feta, and no lettuce. That's how it's served in Greece. It's a meal, and so the feta provides the protein...not just some tiny crumbles for flavor! Also tried the desserts. They were excellent. Greek desserts tend to be very sweet, and these were quite sweet, but not overpoweringly so. We look forward to making this restaurant a regular stop!
